| Basic Wilderness First Aid is 16 hours long with an optional 6 hour field day. This course is recommended for the tripper who is not too far away from getting help. For example, teachers leading a day hike. Excellent review on the ABC's of a Standard First Aid course but geared towards a wilderness setting. Content includes a Heart Saver CPR Adult/Child certification. Lots of equipment improvisation, splinting, wound care management, hypo/hyperthermia use of epi-pens and much more!! Prerequisites None! Cost $210 for 22 hours, includes a 6 hour field Day with realistic scenarios in a outdoor setting rain or shine. Includes a working manual, DVD, and CPR manual through Heart and Stroke. Essentials Wilderness First Aid is 40 hours long. An excellent introduction to back country wilderness first aid. Content includes a detailed assessment model, stress drills, developing plans in evacuation and patient care, spinal care, reducing dislocations, traction splints, also all the skills sets from Basic Wilderness First Aid. A Level C CPR Certification which includes Adult/Child/Infant. Medical injuries and theatrical make up will be used in the simulations. Be prepared for home study. Prerequisites None! Cost $500 includes Text Book. Advanced Back-Country Wilderness First Aid is 40 hours long. This is a continuation with the Essentials Wilderness First Aid. Advanced and Essential for a Total of 80 Hours provides excellent training for First Responders in a Wilderness Setting. Additional skills such as back boarding, oxygen administration, AED, Level C CPR Review. Critical problem solving skills. Home Study will be needed. Prerequisites: Essentials Wilderness First Aid. Cost $550 includes Text book. Standard First Aid 16 hours, includes CPR and AED. Emergency First Aid 8 hours Choice of CPR, includes AED. CPR all levels from 4 to 8 hours can also be incorporated in the First Aid courses Marine First Aid 24 - 32 hours, includes Standard First Aid, CPR Adult to Infant, AED, Diving Injuries, Oxygen Administration, Immersion Hypothermia, Sea Sickness. Learn how to build a shelter, fire, find water, map and compass, build a survival kit, and most important being mentally prepared.
